I am a first-year JD-PhD student at Duke University, Department of Computer Science and School of Law.
For my PhD study, I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Cynthia Rudin in the Interpretable Machine Learning Lab. My research focuses on interpretable machine learning, where we develop models that are transparent, trustworthy, and reliable.
I recently graduated with Highest Distinction and Alex Vasilos Memorial Award from Duke University, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. During my undergraduate studies, I worked with Prof. Cynthia Rudin, Prof. Bhuwan Dhingra, Prof. Brandon Fain, and Prof. Jian Pei on a range of machine learning topics, including risk prediction, natural language processing for healthcare, and topic modeling. Prior to my study at Duke, I was a Dean’s Circle Scholar and a philosophy student at New York University, where I founded NYU Philosophy Forum and developed a deeper interest in social justice and ethical decision-making.
Beyond academics, I enjoy photography and playing tennis.
